According to current estimates, Auckland is projected to be home to 2 million people by 2033, accounting for approximately 37% of New Zealand’s population. Auckland Transport is looking to build solutions now that can accommodate this growth and help their community move through the city with ease.
Our NZ Transportation team recently celebrated their appointment to Auckland Transport’s Traffic and Transportation Engineering Professional Services (TTEPS) General Panel. Working with Auckland Transport, we are excited about helping them solve their growing need via a range of engineering services ranging from feasibility studies right through to civil design and business case development.
In this round of procurement for the panel, Auckland Transport wanted to see the local consultancy ecosystem work in partnership with each other. In collaborating with panel partners Flow Transportation Specialists and Roadlab, we demonstrated our strength in teamwork and capability.
David Bell, Stantec General Manager Transportation Australia and New Zealand, was enthusiastic about the prospects of the teams to deliver high-quality work for the local community.
‘We understand how important it is for the people of Auckland to get where they want to go with ease,’ said Mr Bell. ‘We will work with Auckland Transport and our panel partners to efficiently deliver transportation solutions that help them achieve this as their city grows.’
Our recent celebration doubled as a teambuilding event as all three organisations came together. The agenda for the day included a brief overview of each partner and some friendly competition in the form of a quiz.
‘The event solidified our working relationships, and we now look forward to getting on with the business of delivering transport solutions that keep Auckland moving,’ concluded Mr Bell.
